Actor and writer Nicholas Pegg wrote on X: "Raising a glass to William Russell, who has left us just a few months shy of his 100th birthday." He added that Russell was a "fine actor and a lovely man".
William Russell Enoch (19 November 1924 – 3 June 2024) was an English actor, whose career on stage and screen spanned over seven decades. He achieved prominence when he took the title role in the ITV television series The Adventures of Sir Lancelot (1956–1957).
